"We are very proud of winning first place of the O'Reilly Mac OS X Innovators contest", says Oliver Breidenbach, Manager of Boinx Software, a division of GeBE Computer & Peripherie GmbH of Munich, Germany. "Winning this prestigious industry contest confirms our belief that it pays off to produce software that is focused on making the user's life more enjoyable," continues Breidenbach. O'Reilly's Derrick Story, MacDevCenter managing editor, outlines the main criteria for the contest: "I'm particularly excited about the fact that all of our winners have involved their users in the development of these killer apps. Each one of them has done a great job of listening to the people who've embraced their applications, and then incorporating that feedback and making their software even better."
Version 1.1 available now
Spurred by winning the contest, Boinx Software engineers have been hard at work to release Boinx iStopMotion 1.1 in time for the announcement and it is available for download now. Besides the usual bug fixes, iStopMotion 1.1 features a new overlay to mark title safe and action safe areas of the image and an aspect ratio for creating other format than PAL and NTSC like 16:9. Users with cameras using the IIDC standard now benefit from a much faster performance. Current license keys continue to work with version 1.1
